Strawberry Picking 2017...

On May 29th we went strawberry picking.  I was worried that we wouldn't be able to go this year because we would be out of town on vacation.  Typically berries are ready the first week in June.  Luckily due to the excessive amount of rain we had they were ready a week early!

In typical Addison fashion, she eats more than she picks!

And because the girls love strawberry jam so much, they are required to help cook it!  They actually love helping.

Last Day of Second Grade....

Posting these pictures today makes me realize how far behind I really am.   The girls start third grade in just a couple of days and I'm just now posting the last day of second grade pics.  Time flies!!

Race May in Indy....

Back in May, Terry and I had the opportunity to visit the track and watch the time trials prior to the Indy 500.  It was a gorgeous day.  It was a work event for me, so I got to enjoy the day out of the office while the kiddos were in school.

Catch up and photo dump.....

Due to some computer issues and phone troubles and just general lack of time, I obviously have fallen behind in updating this blog.   Stand by the next few days while I try to get back on track again....

The girls did a pajama's and parfaits cooking class at a local restaurant.

They both took turns coming to work with me!

Birthday photos....

Lunch with my peanut at school!

And obviously Easter 2017.

It's crazy for me to look at these pictures from just a few months ago.   The girls have grown so much!

February in the Park....

We've been having some unusually warm temperatures here in Indiana.  No complaints from our end!!  This past weekend we spent the majority of the time outside and at the park.  Here are a few pictures from our adventures:

Alexis's Science Project 2017....

I could not be more proud of my little Peanut.  Her teacher made science projects mandatory this year.  Alexis decided that she was going to figure out how to make an avocado ripen more quickly.  She loved avocados and hates waiting for them to get "ready to eat".  We did some online research and she decided that this was what she wanted to do.

This is her original hypothesis....which proved to be false.

Alexis decided that she wanted to type up her findings..... I told her that if she wanted it typed that she would need to do it herself.  She sat at our computer for close to three hours typing everything.  Below is the work in progress....  My OCD is/was seriously kicking in because the cutting isn't straight and some things are crooked.  But I just had to keep telling myself this isn't my project.

And here is her finished report...  I don't know if she will win any awards, but I do know how hard she worked and how proud of her I am; that's all that matters!!!
