MORE PICS...

Above is Addison just hanging out.

Above is Addison on the left & Alexis on the right. I think Alexis is trying to tell Addison to get off of her. Who knows?

I've been trying to upload a video of Alexis climbing her boppy since yesterday, but for whatever reason it just won't upload, so I guess we are just going to have to settle for more pictures.

Yesterday evening we set the girls in the chair in our living room to take a picture. Then I decided to grab one of their chairs that match their room for a photo op. These chairs were given to the girls by their Grandma Zehner. They are super cute.

More pictures & videos...

Since my Mom has been here it's been giving me a little extra free time to do things. (I.E. update my blog, get a much overdue hair cut, go grocery shopping etc. etc.) I've really been trying to keep up with the blog, but the two little munchkins make things a little difficult sometimes.

Yesterday Addison was bright eyed and was just hanging out in her bouncy chair. Her facial expressions were just adorable. I think she was just diggin' the vibration of the chair. See the below three pics of Addison.
Also yesterday, Alexis was laying on her belly on her boppy pillow enjoying some tummy time. She started trying to climb over it. She did a pretty good job!! She actually made it over twice, unfortunately I didn't capture it on video. Both girls are moving around quite a bit. Addison was sitting on her boppy pillow the other morning. I went and did some dishes & made 12 bottles (one days worth). She was quiet the whole time, so I assumed she was sleeping. When I went back into the living room she had scooted herself half way across the living room floor. Next time she does this, I will try to capture it on video. It's too cute!!

A few quick pics...

I took a few quick pictures over the weekend of the girls in their Cardinals onesies. These were a gift from Aunt Sandy. The girls looked super cute in their baseball attire!!!

This last picture is from about a week ago, but I thought it was cute and never posted it. Addison is wrapped in the blanket and Alexis is chillin' on her Daddy's chest.

Our little Rock Stars!!

Both girls are continuing to do well. Not much new to report as we have just been trucking along. Terry is in Chicago this weekend, enjoying a Cubs game with one of his buddy's so my Mom came out from St. Louis to provide back up. She helped me take the girls to the pediatricians office on Wednesday just for a weight check and general check up.

Addison is currently tipping the scales at 7 pounds 10 ounces. She's generally our mellow baby and just goes with the flow. She seems to be more alert lately and is always so bright eyed! We are still trying to figure out where she gets her blonde hair and blue eyes from. Terry is still threatening to take us on the Maury show for a DNA test.

Alexis is weighing in at 7 pounds even. Alexis had been spitting up ALOT. (Hence the reason for lack of weight gain) She actually did projectile spit up while we were at the doctors office. The doc finally gave us some medicine for her acid reflux. WOW, what a difference!! She has been a lot more calm and hasn't been as restless.

Mom and I decided to take the girls for a walk this evening since it has been such a beautiful day. Sometimes we just got to get out of the house for a little bit. Since it was still pretty bright outside, I tried to put on the girls sunglasses. Addison would only wear hers for a few minutes and Alexis didn't really want any part of it. Yes, I realize that the glasses are too big, but they looked adorable in them. See below pics. Addison is on top and Alexis is on the bottom.

More GREAT news!!!

Just a real quick update as I have a ton of stuff that I need to accomplish while the girls are taking a quick nap (I.E. making bottles, washing bottles, laundry, refilling the clean diaper holder & wipes containers, emptying the diaper genies etc.)

Addison had a follow up head ultrasound this morning at the neurologist office. Thanks to a ton of help from Grandma Zehner....Terry was able to sleep, while I took Addison and she watched Alexis. To my surprise, the doctor said that Addison's head ultrasound looked normal. His exact words were "If I didn't know that she previously had a grade IV & grade V bleed on her brain, I never would have guessed it by looking at today's results." The blood and blood clots have completely diminished and she is doing great!! PRAISE GOD!!! We are ecstatic and hope that the good news continues. God definitely has been answering all our prayers one by one!!!

Sorry no pictures today. Terry and I were discussing this last night....that we need to take more pictures, but neither of us has the time. The girls are keeping us very busy, but we wouldn't change a second of it!! Next week we are having a professional photographer come by the house to take pictures, so stay tuned!!!

A big thanks to all the people who have brought us meals recently....Steve, Lisa & Ryan Earl, Greg & Linda Zehner (aka: Ga Ga & Pop Pop), Macy & Ryan Baxter, and Chelsea Bennett. We truly appreciate it!!! You wouldn't think that making dinner would be such a big deal, but lately we have been finding ourselves eating very late in the evenings just because of all the things we have going on with the kiddos. So a big thank you to everyone for helping us out!!!

We love reading your comments about our blog so please leave them!! Lately I'm starting to feel like I'm updating the blog for no reason so please comment so we know were not the only one reading this!!

Today's My Due Date!

So, today is July 7th, the babies full term due date. It's hard to believe that the girls are almost 3 months old already and I wasn't even supposed to have them yet.

Things seem to be a little hectic lately, but we are loving every minute. As much as we try to schedule all their appointments together, it seems like we are always running back and forth to the doctor. This morning both girls had eye exams, which went well, and tomorrow we have another weight check with the pediatrician.
The girls are getting a little more squirmy lately. We used to lay them on our bed in their boppy pillows and not worry about them moving around much, but lately they have been all over the place. So, yesterday I finally hooked up the baby monitor in their room and put them in their cribs so I could take a quick shower. They both didn't seem to mind it much, but were curious about the change of scenery. I put both girls in one crib. See the below pictures. The both seemed to roll back and forth from side to side just checking things out. Alexis is in the orange onesie and Addison is in the white flowered onesie.

We've also been experimenting with different things to keep the girls entertained. They seem to be awake more lately and aren't enjoying their bassinets as much as they used to. Addison totally digs the swing (see below picture) but Alexis isn't quite into it.

We also tried out a couple of bouncy seats this morning. Addison just hung out and pretty much went to sleep but Alexis wasn't quite sure what to think. (note....Their eyes are a little red and puffy from their eye exam this morning)

The Double AA Mobile!!

After being cooped up in the house for a couple of weeks now, Terry and I decided to take the girls for their first walk tonight. The fireworks have finally stopped (at least for awhile) and the weather was nice, so we decided to put the stroller to good use. It was really nice to get out of the house for about an hour and enjoy some family time. The girls slept pretty much the whole time and didn't seem to mind being out. See the above pictures Alexis is in the orange onesie and Addison is in the purple onesie.
Our fourth of July was pretty much spent indoors. Our neighbors just down the street had a massive party and were shooting off some majorly loud fireworks, which the girls did not enjoy!! We had to close up all the windows and doors for awhile so the loudness didn't disturb them.

Play time!

The girls tried out a new play mat this afternoon. We weren't sure how they would like it. Neither girl enjoyed it by themselves, but once we laid them both together they were mesmerized by the mirror and all the dangly butterflies and such. It's good to know that they already play well together!! This was a shower gift from Terry's Aunt Kathy and Cousin Zoe'. The blanket underneath the mat was made by our lovely night nurse at the hospital, Lisa.

Alexis is in the stripped onesie and Addison is in the brown onesie.

Doctors appointments...

We took both girls to the pediatrician today for follow up visits. She said that they both are looking good and she has no major concerns about either girl. They both have gained quite a bit of weight. Addison is weighing in at 6 pounds 2 ounces and Alexis is weighing in at 5 pounds 14 ounces. Their goal is 25-30 grams or about 1 ounce per day. We go back next week just for a weight check. See the below pictures of the girls sitting in their car seats waiting for the doctor.

Life at home is going great. We are trying to get on some kind of schedule and seem to be adapting well. I think that everyone is expecting us to freak out about having two babies to take care of, but it really isn't too bad. Yes, It's a lot of work, but we wouldn't change a second of it. See the below pictures of the girls just hanging out on their boppy pillows.

Jynxie has also had to make the transition of dealing with major changes in our household. For the most part she loves the kiddos. If I'm upstairs and one of them is crying or fussing, she will run up and get me. She will walk in between my legs, almost tripping me until we tend to the fussy child. Luckily, Jynx hasn't tried to jump into their bassinets or bother any of their things yet. She does like to sit in the bottom storage area of the bassinet. See the below picture.
Just wanted to say another HUGE thanks to all our family and friends who have been bringing over meals to help us out. WE GREATLY APPRECIATE IT!! Cooking a big meal hasn't been a top priority for either of us lately, so having help has made a huge difference. A big thanks to my friend Shereen for providing back up on Monday evening. Terry was going to a concert with a friend and I was a little nervous about being alone with the girls for the first time. She stayed for a couple of hours and then we were by ourselves....piece of cake!!
