Last Friday, September 12th, 2014 the girls had a half day of school. I decided to take a personal day from work and spend some time with my kiddos.
We've been talking for a few weeks about going apple picking again. The weather was perfect and I was hoping to beat the weekend crowd by going during the week.
It was one of those perfect days with my kiddos that I just didn't want to end!!
We also took a hayride through the grounds. Alexis was covered in hay when we were finished.
I'm not quite sure what Addison is doing in the above picture, but I just love it!
Alexis was pretty excited that she was actually tall enough to reach most of the trees this year!
Addison did spend more time eating apples than picking them. She ate 3 good sized apples while we were there.
Love these cheese balls!!!
They thought showing me their muscles, while on top of the hay stack was pretty funny.
When we got home we had to try out my new apple peeler/corer/slicer.
Very cool little gadget! So easy that the girls peeled all the apples needed for our large batch of applesauce.
No, I don't usually let my kids sit on my kitchen island, but sometimes you gotta make exceptions!
Seriously the best (and easiest) applesauce ever!!! We've been making applesauce in the crock-pot for a few years now. So easy and the kiddos LOVE it!!
