School Pics 2015-16

Sick kiddo....

Last week my little peanut missed a few days of school thanks to a nasty bug that has been going around.  She really was pretty pathetic.  I new immediately as soon as I got home from work Wednesday evening that she couldn't wait until morning to see the pediatrician, so we loaded up and went to the immediate care.  While I'm grateful for my girls genuinely good health....every once in awhile those preemie lungs sneak back up and remind me that "once a preemie, always a preemie".

Alexis thought it was pretty cool to see her bones on the computer screen.  She was pretty impressed with that.

Addison's First Grade Field Trip....

I got the pleasure of chaperoning Addison's first grade field trip on Tuesday, September 15th.  Terry was able to chaperone Alexis' class on Monday.  Unfortunately, Terry did not take any photos and I only have pictures of Addison's class.  Here are a few:

School Bus Selfie....

The first grade classes visited a local nature preserve.  I found this to be a very interesting trip, but I think it was actually a little intense for first graders.  One thing both my girls really liked was learning about the monarch butterflies.  The nature preserve participates in a monarch tagging program where they catch, tag and release the butterflies.  This allows the butterflies to be tracked during their winter migration.  I'm pretty excited to check out their flight patterns online.

Disney/Frozen on Ice...

Pedicures with my Peanut....

I'm playing catch up again on this here blog....  Bare with me while I do some updates over the next few days....

On Friday, September 4th, Alexis and I went to get pedicures.  A little back story here.... The girls have been a little chaotic at bedtime lately.  I created a sticker chart that hangs in their room.  Every night that they go to bed without issues they get a sticker.  Once they fill their chart they get to go get their nails done.  Addison had her chart filled about two weeks prior to Alexis. (Can you tell who the majority trouble maker is here????) Unfortunately, I didn't remember to take pictures of Addison during her pedicure.

Soccer....

Last Saturday (August 29th, 2015) we officially became soccer parents.   The girls had their first soccer practice and will be playing now on every Saturday.  They both love playing a lot!  I was skeptical at first, but they both said they want to keep at it.  So I guess now I'm officially a soccer mom!  :-)

State Fair 2015....

On Sunday August 23rd, we took the girls to the Indiana State Fair.  I'm super bummed that I didn't take more photos.  Alexis had seen a commercial on tv about the fair and the demolition derby.  She all but begged to go.  Seeing as how this is also my favorite part of the fair, I decided to oblige.  One of these days, the girls will be old enough to actually stay until the end.  Here are the few photos I did take:
